RED BASQUE SIZE 10 to be worn with an apron style skirt made of grey twill. 1880's style. The basque is lightly boned, with 17 gold buttons down the front of the high collared jacket, made of red cotton twill and lined with red taffeta. The grey collon twill skirt is weighted and part lined. £270
1860's style, wear with a victorian style jacket or blouse. Fastens on the right hip with 2 buttons, which give options to adjust the waist measurement 26inches plus or minus 2 inches each way. Stunning with the white petticoat with threaded red ribbon .. see it on the 'petticoat page' £40.00
This riding habit of about 1862 is of black linen embroidered with floral sprigs. SOLD
This costume ( available for hire) has a mauve velvet lined softjacket and purple satin skirt, size 16-18.The style is drop shoulders with satin cuffs. The fullly lined jacket and skirt are trimmed with bottle green braid, the skirt is weighted at the hem in order to hang nicely as you ride. The skirt is longer on the riders left side to drape down the side of the horse over the rider's left leg. Cut and adapted from a Victorian pattern of about 1865. On this skirt poppers have been inserted in a strip on the right side, this is a safey measure. This outfit can be viewed and tried on at Farthing Saddlery, Heathfield £175
